Mercedes-Benz presents in Mexico its new Sprinter range with Bluetec 6 engines

THREE POWER RANGES AND OPTIONAL 4X4 TRACTION

12 July 2022

Twenty years, more than 45,000 units sold and a market share that exceeds 40% in its segment, are the best letter of introduction of the Sprinter in Mexico. The global light utility vehicle par excellence, also proves to have been successful in the Aztec country, where the mix of versatility, performance, safety and profitability generate trust in customers.

These twenty years on the market could not be celebrated in a better way than by presenting an update to the range, where the protagonist is the OM654 Euro 6 engine, presented in Europe in 2021. This four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1,950cc is available with three versions of power: 114HP for front-wheel drive, 170HP for rear and 190HP of Sprinter 4X4 is selected.

Work was done on the new engine to reduce internal friction and allow better use of energy to transform it into movement. That is why it has the NANOSLIDE technology with iron and carbon coating on the walls of the cylinders.

The passenger Sprinter has three sizes so that customers can configure the version that best suits their needs: starting with 5,932 mm and 16 passengers, with the long one it goes to 6,967 mm in length and 20 occupants plus driver up to reach the one with the largest dimensions of 7,367 mm and capacity for 23 people.
